Thanks for following up! Grundorf did a superb job on the case. Delivery was right on schedule and literally to the door. We transported it from the office to the school in the back of a pickup on a Sunday morning. Our sound guys were like little kids at Christmas. Sometimes it really does pay to have something made just for a certain item (the fit of the board to the case is exceptional—and hence more protective). Grundorf had put all our desired “extras” on and you can tell it is of good quality (both product and workmanship) and is meant to last. The thing (it’s kind of a monster) rolls EFFORTLESSLY—literally a one person job. All of our XLR connectors from the two snakes fit nicely even with the cover on. So on the first Sunday at the end of the service we simply rolled the snakes up and stored them inside the bottom of the cabinet.

The next Sunday was the cool part though—the trailer was late by an hour (usually there at 0730—but didn’t arrive till 0830). Our service starts at 10:03 so it really looked like it was going to be one of those “pushed for time” mornings when a lot of God’s grace and fruit of the Spirit is needed…So the sound guys effortlessly roll out the board off the trailer and run the snakes down to the school stage and voila…..sound board is set up and ready to go—needless to say it has cut a good 30-60 minutes off of our setup time on Sundays (plus another 20-30 minutes on the teardown end) as well as lowering the frustration level on ensuring every channel is plugged in correctly. I knew it was going to help us—I didn’t realize quite how much…. It’s a great (albeit a little pricey for a small church) case—but well worth it in the long run.

Dieter—thanks so much for continuing to work with us—I really think that the thoroughness of Grundorf (in the design stage before they built the case) really paid off in the end.
